1st Peter 1:4 | And we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay.
What is an inheritance? What inheritance is 1st Peter talking about?
What promise is made about the inheritance of Heaven in today’s passage?
What are some things that can’t impact or affect your inheritance?
Even you (and all the good or bad you do) can’t impact your inheritance.
What does this promise mean to you?
How does it impact your perspective?
Why is the inheritance of heaven called “priceless?” Do you value heaven above all else? Why or why not?

2nd Corinthians 4:16-18 | That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.
What ‘present troubles’ are you facing?
Why does 2nd Corinthians 4 describe them as ‘small’?
How do we know these troubles are temporary?
How can remembering that your troubles are small and temporary help when a situation seems impossible?
What should we focus on instead of temporary trouble?
How is this done in practice each day?
How can you begin having this focus yourself each day?
