Why are God’s people waiting for Jesus’ return? When will it happen?
Isaiah 64:4 | For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him!
Isaiah was written in the Old Testament before the Jews were in exile and before Jesus’ birth. What are some things the Lord had already done for His people at that time?
Lamentations 3:25-26 | The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord.

Psalm 27:14 | Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.
What are some things you’ve felt when you’ve had to wait for the Lord to answer a prayer or to help you? How were your feelings the same or different than the ones used to describe the person waiting in Psalm 27:14?
Isaiah 30:18 | So the Lord must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion. For the Lord is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for his help.
