Breastplate of righteousness: Righteous company
Proverbs 2:20 | So follow the steps of the good, and stay on the paths of the righteous.
1st Corinthians 15:33 | Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.”
- What instructions are you given in both of today’s verses?
- What company do you keep? In other words, who do you hang out with? Think through not only close friends, but people you are in proximity with on a regular basis.
- Would you describe these people as “good company” or “bad company”? Why?
- If any of your company is “bad” company, what will be the result? How have you seen this in your own life?
- If your company is “good,” what will they help you do? Why is this? How have you experienced this in your life?
- Based on your answers, do you need to change your company? In what ways?
- Thinking about the result of good and bad company, are you good or bad company for those you are around? Why/in what ways? If you are bad or sometimes bad company, what needs to change? [Be specific!]
